The Taylor-Butler House

Joseph Dorset Taylor and Mary Holmes Taylor, first cousins and proud descendants of the Taylors of Middletown, built this restrained Italianate residence in 1853. Originally called the Orchard Home, the Taylor-Butler House stands as a historical record of one of the earliest families in Monmouth County.

Old First Church

The congregation began in 1688 as the Middletown Baptist Church. This structure was built in 1832, and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
